The martial arts of Hangul Do fencing were established by Master Korea (Kim Hee Jong) in 2000 in Seoul, South Korea, and officially began operating the same year with the formation of the Hangul Do World Federation (W.H.F).
9-year-old Kim Hyung Jong, holder of the 9th Hopkidost, has studied Hangul Do in 1994 and has recorded the Hangul Do Scientific Training Techniques in 2000. The first Hangul Do World Championships were held in Germany in 2011. Vedersal 2014 was the 15th edition of the Hangul Do National Competition in South Korea, during which all activities were broadcast from the South Korean National Television. From 20 countries Hangul Do II has received official representation from the World Hangul Do Federation.
